Travelodge Thurrock Lakeside

Booked a room here for me and my son. We visited Lakeside shopping centre and this hotel is in walking distance to it. Very close proximit, in fact you only need to cross the road. It’s directly opposite. We were greeted by the most happiest receptionist Maisie when checking in. She was so helpful and informative. Thank you for making our stay a pleasant one. Room/Hotel was immaculately clean with a fantastic view of the lake, restaurants and shopping centre.

Location is fantastic . We decided to stay over after a visit to Lakeside and go out to the boom battle bar. The staff were all lovely from reception to the breakfast staff . Breakfast was very nice , good quality sausages and lots of cereals, pastries. Would stay here again . Basic but had everything we needed

MY oom was very clean and all facilities were available. The breakfast had an excellent choice of food both hot and cold. The main reason for returning to this particularly hotel is due to the outstanding staff namely Abbey Tania and Lani. They always remember me from my previous visits and their welcoming is always very warm and friendly. They are only too willing to make my stay pleasurable . I can not speak highly enough of them (not forgetting behind the scence staff) ; a credit to Travel Lodge.

Brilliant stay at Travelodge Lakeside staff was fantastic. I like to thank Tania and Abby for what they did for me. I don’t know who is who but one done my breakfast and the other one was helping me with the rooms and everything once again thank you so much for your care and understanding.

I was pleasantly surprised by Travelodge Thurrock Lakeside. For a budget hotel it has everything you need! For me the location is 5* due to the vicinity of Tilbury Cruise Port and being adjacent to Lakeside. The free parking is great. We pre booked an evening meal deal and breakfast. Both were great value and tasty. The biggest plus of this hotel is the fantastic staff. All so very friendly and accommodating. Big shout out to Tania and Abi on front of house as well as Barbara, Maisie and Leanne in the restaurant. Also the gentleman doing the breakfast who clearly understood what a full English should be! I'd have no hesitation in recommending this place and will definitely be booking again. Thanks again. Richard

Not really dirty rooms but could be cleaner. There were cotton buds under the bed when we pulled the bed out and the mirror hadn’t been wiped in the bathroom. The towels we were given had what looked like maybe hair dye on them. We were placed in a room right by the door to get through to level 3 and all night we heard the door banging from people coming in and out so I think they need to do something to the door to stop it being so loud. I would stay again as the location is good but I would request a room away from the door to get a better nights sleep.

Stayed here for a night while going to a wedding. The staff were very helpful. The room was adequate and clean. I was on the fourth floor and had a good view of the lake. There's a huge shopping centre close but I had no chance to go there.

Rooms are very clean, the bed was comfy and plenty of pillows. We had a room over looking the car park and road. If noise from idiots racing their cars for about an hour or so late in the evening, would disturb you, it would be better to get a room overlooking the lake. It didn't particularly bother us. We had the breakfast which we thought was excellent value for money and the staff were very welcoming and helpful.
